My husband and I aren't huge frosting people, but with this recipe, it's not as sweet and very creamy. It even goes great if you mix in some peanut butter for a creamy peanut butter frosting.
Cream Cheese Frosting II
"This is a wonderfully creamy frosting that goes well with pumpkin bread, carrot cake, chocolate cake, on cookies or between cookies."
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese,
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 cups sifted confectioners' sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
|1.||In a medium bowl, cream together the cream cheese and butter until creamy. Mix in the vanilla, then gradually stir in the confectioners' sugar. Store in the refrigerator after use.|
I usually don't really follow the measurements well, but vanilla is my secret ingredient, so I put a bit more and less butter.
